Meet Ranbir's Rockstar Babe!
Nope, it's not a star kid launch, and it's not going to be an established actor.
Director (Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal) Imtiaz Ali's new film Rockstar stars Ranbir Kapoor and supermodel Diana Penty.
A few things you might not have known about the 25-year-old stunner:
She recently replaced actor Deepika Padukone as the face of Maybelline in India.
Imtiaz had cast Deepika as the heroine in his last film, Love Aaj Kal.
A Mumbai girl, Diana (born November 2, 1985) signed for Elite Model Management in 2005, when she was 20.
She appeared with her Rockstar co-star Ranbir in a recent ad for Vodafone.
Diana's dress size is 4. A tall girl measuring an impressive 5'9.5", she has gone on record saying that size zero is a children's size and that women should have a more healthy body image.
Rakeysh Mehra shelves dream project
Heist actioner Paanch Kaurav, which was to star Hrithik Roshan at one point and Abhishek and Amitabh Bachchan by other reports, is rumoured to be shelved. Mehra reportedly wrote 50 drafts of his dream script but finally had to shelve it as he found no takers for it. The director is working on the biopic on ‘flying Sikh’ Milkha Singh.
Neil Nitin Mukesh out of Thank You!
It seems all is not well between Anees Bazmee and Neil Nitin Mukesh. Reportedly, the star is no longer a part of Bazmee’s Thank You. It’s Bobby Deol who will be filling Neil’s shoes now. Considering Thank You is an Akshay Kumar film, it is strange that the Khiladi Kumar agreed to the replacement. Not so long ago, there was a catfight between Akshay’s wife Twinkle and Bobby’s wife Tanya. The duo even shut down their joint business venture. Looks like all is well on the personal front and the Ajnabee jodi is all set to rock again.
Dimple brings up Simple's son
Dimple Kapadia is busy shooting for Rahul Dholakia’s Society. Besides that she’s guardian to her late sister Simple’s son, Karan. The actress is really bringing up the child well. Karan who’s turned 16 and is heavily into filmmaking, has started assisting Rahul Dholakia. Recently they were shooting at a lounge bar in the suburbs. It was a particularly hot day and Dimple was sitting in the cool environs of the bar. She suddenly noticed that her nephew too was cooling his heels in the AC. She called out to him and gently reprimanded him saying, “Your director is out working in the sun, you better go out and be with him.” The youngster was sheepish but obeyed his aunt and was out in the sun in an instant. Now this is what we call upbringing.
Hrithik-Bhansali showdown
The stories about Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali not seeing eye to eye have been abounding ever since Guzaarish went on the floor. Every day there are stories floating about how the two are at loggerheads. Recently, we heard that Hrithik reported half an hour late on the set. And a miffed Sanjay told the star off. When Hrithik told him he was at the gym, Sanjay apparently told him that was no excuse to come late.
