Katrina has good voice modulation and dialogue delivery. But her hand movement during the speech at the end of trailer don´t reflect the anger shown through the dialogue.

Promo looks good. The movie , setting , cast - everything seems large scale.

The movie seemed to be focussed around Indu Pratap's character from the synopsis:

Rajneeti is a film that tells the journey of an ordinary woman Indu Pratap (Katrina) and her fight against corruption to the day she becomes prime minister. It shows the emotions of a woman in politics, the suffering endured by a woman in the dark world of politics.

Another info is Ranbir Kapoor is involved in few torrid sex scenes and playing most devious character of his career.

Let us hope the movie lives upto our expectations !

Bad promo. The first promo was used to introduce us to the characters. The second promo does the same. And I agree with Rajiv that the too much effort was put into the voice of Katrina which came out well but nothing else was ok except her voice.

The body language during her walk was great,. she reminded me of Mrs. Gandhi, the voice was OK, but there were NO EMOTIONS. Ranbir's dialog was silly, Arjun seemed good and all else were excellent. I am interested, film sounds good.....

“but there were NO EMOTIONS” –

the dialogues there require her to be emotionless. There are certain do’s and don’t of public life and up on the podium the stern, determined stance is clearly visible...

“voice was okay’

I guess you mean the diction

Cauli – certain characters there require awkwardness and she is part of the parcel…meaning been forced into politics..

Promos are all okay here though I hope this story is intelligently told and does not gets bogged down by too many characters.

Hahahaha - nice excuses provided for emotionless Katrina! She is playing it that way as she is inherently incapable of any other way. The rest would fall under the category of acting, pin-up girls cannot do that.

ApexHeights,

You really don't see na how well Katrina is waving her hand(showing a LOT OF POWER) and when she is a giving the speech, her hand movements are not at all inspirational!! Her speech (because of her hand movements and expressions) is lacking the power to convince.

Don’t have the sound track at the moment, but if I remember correctly she is referring to mehndi / suhaag etc(I presume her husband gets assassinated)…those hand movements are signs of helplessness there.

Those hand movements are signs of helplessness that she can't act.

ROFL!!!! So true....

Caulfield strong opinions on Touch Me girl there. Look , I am not one of those who is going to make an argument there and say acting is subjective etc, but one can definitively say that she is “objectively” much better than others among the current lot and provides more bang for the buck. That is why she is there in the movie – nothing else. Mind you, the dress code there is not to titillate.

Caulfield you need to watch namaste london, new york, yuvraaj etc and make an informed opinion and see her gradual ease in front of the camera while emoting. There is much more to her than romp around akki in short skirts. We saw what happened to Kareena in those tranny roles and it needed an “Ace Inhibitor” to make a Pia out of her with those nerdy specs.... I am sure like her she too is waiting for the right aces…

this is perfect casting in a way . the character Katrina is playing cannot speak hindi properly nor show any conviction in what she is saying . compare this to speech of Madamji and u know why this is perfect casting .

love the trailer except National award winner Rampal part . i just wish katrina was nto playing role of Madamji :-(

I did not know that foreigners could not show emotions. News to me....

As for Kareena - that was another ROFL moment. Maybe people have stuck to Akki films and not seen movies like Refugee, Chameli, Omkara, Dev etc.

no not all foreigners but madamji certainly doesnot .
