Many have wondered why a Hindi film should be called Kites and their significance in the film.
Producer Rakesh Roshan and director Anurag Basu revealed the idea behind the title.
"The idea for Kites came to me when I was gazing at the sky and saw two kites flying. It looked romantic, intriguing - the way they came close, played, almost embraced each other and then drew apart. Unaware that someone else was pulling the strings. I penned a story around this idea," says Rakesh.
Anurag, who wrote the screenplay and directed the film, added, "Kites is used as a metaphor in the film. Kites fly against the wind and not with it. The stronger the wind blows, the higher they fly." Well, Kites is no doubt this summer's most eagerly awaited romantic film.

Hrithik said on twitter that it has as many as 5 songs but no lip sync .
